Colt Roundup

Anthony Hernandez
What’s sup colts? My name is Anthony Hernandez, and I am a Junior here at Cottonwood High School. I am a staff writer and photographer for the school's newspaper. My favorite subjects are history, English and journalism. When I graduate high school, I want to study photography and journalism as a photojournalist and work for the L.A. Times and become an Olympic athlete. My favorite movie is either McFarland USA or Unbroken. What inspires me to do what I do in life, like running, is to not give up on myself because if I do, then life is going to knock me out every time. That’s why I try and try, even if I have no more left in me. Like Olympic runner Louie Zamperini says, “If you can take it, you can make it,” and that little quote motivates me to never give up on life. My hobbies are just basically running all day everyday. Lastly, my favorite kind of music is a debate between classic rock and old school hip hop, but I also like punk rock, oldies and a little heavy metal (Metallica), but mainly I listen to classic rock bands like Queen, KISS, and Guns N Roses.
